Cllr Bill Wretham, Deputy Mayor of Poole, said: "As a Founder Member and Vice Chairman of Age Concern Poole, I'm delighted to make this contribution from my Mayoral year. Financially, Age Concern has operated independently for 18 years, relying on its own fund-raising activities. I hope that this contribution can help this proud tradition to continue. I'd like to give my sincere thanks to everyone who supported me in my year as Mayor."
The second half of the money raised for the Mayor's Charity Appeal, will be donated in the near future to the International Glaucoma Association for the purchase of new equipment.
