TWINNING ROUNDABOUT NAMED IN POOLE

The unveiling of new roundabout signs celebrating Poole's links with twin town Cherbourg will complete a packed weekend of Civic events this Sunday.

In a special ceremony, Mayor Cllr Mrs Joyce Jones will dedicate the roundabout at Fisherman's Dock, Poole Quay with new signs naming the "Cherbourg Roundabout".

Sponsored by the Poole and Cherbourg Twinning Associations, Mayor Cllr Mrs Joyce Jones will make a dedication speech in French.

Mayor Cllr Mrs Joyce Jones, said: "Although my French is a little rusty, I'm looking forward to practising on our honoured guests! I hope that everyone will join with me in celebrating the friendships and close links our towns enjoy."

Marie adjoint, (Deputy Mayors of Cherbourg) M. Leger and M. Lerenard will also be attending the ceremony.
