NUFFIELD ROAD TIP SITE RE-OPENS

The household waste site at Nuffield Road, Poole re-opened today following a temporary 24 hour closure due to fuel shortages.

The site, which takes normal household bulky waste, was closed yesterday after contractors were unable to remove rubbish because of low fuel reserves.

Peter Pawlowski, Head of Consumer Protection Services, Borough of Poole, said: "As more fuel deliveries are made across the country, the situation will begin to ease for everyone. We hope this short term closure did not inconvenience anyone too much and look forward to the tip being open for business as usual."
