29 Jun 00POOLE PRINTMAKERS EXHIBITION
Saturday 5th August - Sunday 3rd September 2000, Scaplen’s Court Museum, Poole
This summer Scaplen’s Court Museum is proud to host an exhibition of prints produced by members of Poole Printmakers. This local group was founded in 1991 and is dedicated to raising the awareness of printmaking in the community and offers printmaking facilities to local artists.
Printmaking has a long, rich history and for centuries it was one of the most important ways of communicating before it became an art form in its own right. Printmaking can take many forms, from cutting linoleum blocks to a sophisticated mixed media extravaganza produced in a professional workshop. The exhibition will display many examples of this form of art. It will be possible to purchase prints during the exhibition.
Poole Printmakers will also be running Saturday courses at their workshop in conjunction with the exhibition, details about these courses maybe obtained by telephoning 01202 511966.
The exhibition will be open Monday to Saturday from 10-00am until 5-00pm and on Sundays from Noon until 5-00pm. Admission to the exhibition and the Museum costs:- 2-00 for Adults and £1-35 for Children, usual concessions apply.
