As temperatures topped 82 degrees, Poole and Bournemouth took their 'Why go away, 82degrees on Poole and Bournemouth beaches today ....with no flight hassle' message direct to Easy Jet Headquarters at Luton Airport today.

Poole takes its Why Go Away campaign straight to Easyjet's headquarters

The high profile question directed at travellers leaving the UK was on show for just 2hours before security staff at Luton Airport became hot under the collar and ordered the mobile advertising vehicle off the site.

Graham Richardson, Tourism Manager for Poole, said: "I think the point has been made to EasyJet and passengers. Driving around British resorts and encouraging people to go away has not been as easy as they thought. British resorts aren’t fast asleep in the sun and have as much to offer as our continental counterparts without all the hassle."
