Listen To Leader's Speech With a strong emphasis on working within planned budgets to provide effective, cost-efficient services, Brian outlined five long-term priorities for the Council over the next four years: Cllr Brian Leverett, said: "Our focus on these priorities will provide Poole with a new long term direction that reflects the concerns of local people and provides a coherent response to the challenges before the town. There are major opportunities ahead. Poole’s regeneration will be key to delivering a comprehensive package of affordable housing, public open space as well as better access to our water frontages, the port and between the Town Centre and Hamworthy. But we will only be able to deliver these by working in partnership with the local community. In return we are determined to be an efficient Council and it is essential that taxpayers are confident their money is spent wisely, effectively and fairly."
