Borough of Poole is staging a series of coffee mornings for residents interested in becoming a tenant of sheltered accommodation in Poole.
Housing and Community Services is inviting any person over the age of 60 to four coffee mornings to find out more about the sheltered accommodation schemes and how to join the Poole Housing Register.
Sheltered Housing
is purpose-built accommodation for the over-60s, which consists of flats and bungalows where residents live in a safe, secure, communal environment with the support of a Sheltered Housing officer or warden.
Staff will be on hand at the coffee mornings to offer advice on housing options for the over-60s and information about how to join the register or bid for properties through the Council's "Home Choice" lettings scheme. Details of all the schemes in Poole will be available at the coffee mornings.
The coffee mornings are free and will take place from 9.30am to 12.30pm at four sheltered schemes on the following dates:
Monday 5 February Hinchliffe Close, Hamworthy
Tuesday 6 February Trinidad House, Rossmore Road, Parkstone
Thursday 8 February Selby Close, Broadstone
Friday 9 February Simmonds Close, Oakdale
Free tea, coffee and biscuits will be served throughout the mornings.
