20 Jun 00BUSTING TRAFFIC JAMS ON-LINE IN POOLE
Traffic jam busting on the internet is the latest new feature on the Borough of Poole’s award winning website.
Up to the minute news on current and planned road works in the borough is now available online so residents, workers and visitors can check their routes and avoid potential delays.
The new website feature includes detailed information on how long road works will be, why they are taking place, who to contact for further information and the likelihood of delays. The roadworks are also linked to an interactive map which identifies the roads concerned, so you can plan an alternative route all at the click of a button.
The roadworks section of the site can be accessed directly from www.poole.gov.uk/roadworks
Brian Townshend, Marketing Officer, said: "This is one of a number of new developments for our website, which aim to provide the kind of useful information that people are most likely to need. If you don’t have access to a computer at home, try one of our local libraries where you can log on to the Poole website free of charge."
