4 May 00MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES MONTH 2000 - LOCAL HISTORY EXHIBITIONS IN TWO POOLE LIBRARIES
Canford Heath Library
Poole Museum Society has moved its exhibition 'Archaeology in the Garden' to Canford Heath Library. The exhibition draws people's attention to local archaeological material that may be found in the vicinity of their homes. It also aims to create a greater awareness of the importance of the work of an Archaeologist. Canford Heath Library is open as follows:
Monday - 2.00 to 5.00
Tuesday - 9.30 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 6.00
Wednesday - Closed
Thursday - 9.30 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 6.00
Friday - 9.30 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 7.00
Saturday - 9.00 to 12.30
Parkstone Library
The Society has arranged a second exhibition entitled 'Pictures in the Post' at Parkstone Library. The exhibition is a display of postcards sent by people depicting local scenes of our area. The scenes depicted on the postcards will bring back memories of our area and changes that have taken place over the years. Parkstone Library is open as follows:
Monday - 10.00 to 12.30 and 1.30 to 5.00
Tuesday - 9.30 to 12.30 and 1.30 to 5.00
Wednesday - 9.30 to 12.30 and 1.30 to 5.00
Thursday - Closed
Friday - 9.30 to 12.30 and 1.30 to 6.00
Saturday 9.00 to 12.30
