Volunteers throughout Poole have been taking part in the Tidy Britain Group's premier anti-litter campaign - National Spring Clean.
The campaign, which celebrates its 10th Birthday this year has seen school children, local residents and local groups tidying and clearing litter across Poole.
Local events have included children from Trinidad First, Branksome Heath Middle and Martin Kemp Welch School’s litter picking play grounds and the Great Dorset Beach Clean at Whitley Lake by Earthkind and over 40 local volunteers.
Louise Lowans, Borough of Poole’s Recycling Officer said: "A tremendous number of local people really have ‘done their bit’ to help keep Poole a beautiful place to live and we have been delighted with the response so far. April is the official National Spring Clean month, so if there is anyone else who would like to take part by tidying their local area, please get in touch".
Throughout the events, the Borough of Poole’s Consumer Protection Service have provided gloves, litter bags and removal of the litter.
Anyone who would like to get involved should call Louise Lowans on tel: 01202 261700.
