GET IT OUT AND USE IT - COME ON OUT AND DO IT!

Local arts, crafts and cycling enthusiasts are being asked to help encourage Poole people to try something new at two events held on Sunday 7 May at Baiter Park, Poole.

Get it out and Use it - is a cycling extravaganza aimed at promoting cycling and encouraging all age groups to take to two wheels. Including displays from a Bike Stunt Display team, cyclists will be invited to test their skills on a cycling obstacle course.

Sally Funnell, Cycling/Walking Officer, Borough of Poole: "Cycling is a great way of enjoying Poole, getting fit and having fun. Any members of local cycling clubs who would be interested in taking part are more than welcome - we want as many people as possible to join us on the day".

Come on out and Do it - aims to encourage young people aged between 11-18 to use their leisure time, try new activities and help local groups benefit from their enthusiasm, fresh ideas and energy. ‘Hands on’ displays will give young people the chance to find out more about affordable leisure and sports activities in Poole.

Christine White, Youth Officer, said: "Representatives from martial arts clubs, uniformed organisations and local sports facilities will be on hand to provide information and advice on a range of interests. From indoor and outdoor sports to ‘surfing the net’ we have all kinds of activities but we need more contacts from local arts and crafts clubs who would like work with young people".
