10 Jan 07Live Music To Rock Poole Central Library
Poole Central Library is staging a showcase concert featuring two of the most hotly-tipped new acts of 2007.
Mr Hudson And The Library
will headline a special concert at the Central Library, in the Dolphin Centre, on Saturday February 3.
Mr Hudson has been widely-touted for stardom in 2007 and already appeared on the BBC television show 'Later with Jools Holland'. The band has also played live on Radio 2 and had a 'Single of the Week' on Radio 1.
The concert is part of a nationwide tour and project to encourage young adults to use local libraries.
John Lane, Library Services Manager, Borough of Poole, said: "The Central Library has staged live classical music before, but never a pop concert with such a hotly-tipped act. We hope the event will prove a real hit with library users."
Mr Hudson will be supported by Adele, who was recently chosen by the Observer Music Magazine as one of the new stars of 2007.
Tickets, priced at £2, go on sale at the Central Library from Thursday 11 January. Numbers are limited so early booking is advised.
