7 Nov 05A Chance to Grill Poole's Cabinet
Poole residents will have the chance to ask those burning questions to the Councillors responsible for decision making on Poole's Cabinet on Saturday 12 November.
Cllr Brian Leverett, the Leader of the Council, will be joining the Portfolio Holders on Poole's Cabinet responsible for:
· Housing
· Local Economy
· Community Support (Social Services)
· Children's Services
· Resources
Members will be on hand at the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole from 10am-1pm to answer any questions relating to Council services and the way the Borough of Poole is managed.
Council Leader Cllr Brian Leverett, said: "This is a golden opportunity to come and meet your councillors and raise issues. Local residents often have questions and whilst some people write or ring, we know that many people have a lot of commitments which means these questions can go unasked. I hope as many people as possible take this opportunity to come along and find out more about the Council, its services and the decisions Councillors are taking on their behalf and for them to tell us what they think."
So whether it's a question about the budget, Pride in Poole environment issues, schools, leisure or any other subject, Councillors will be available to answer your queries.
Poole's Cabinet members are:
· Cllr Brian Leverett - Leader of the Council
· Cllr Ann Stribley - Deputy Leader of the Council
· Cllr Neil Sorton - Resources Portfolio Holder
· Cllr Don Collier - Environment Portfolio Holder
· Cllr Mike White - Housing & Schools for the Future Portfolio Holder
· Cllr Elaine Atkinson - Community Support (Social Services) Portfolio Holder
· Cllr Ron Parker - Local Economy Portfolio Holder
· Cllr Tony Woodcock - Children's Services Portfolio Holder
