New Litter Bins for Upton Country Park

Visitors to Upton Country Park will notice some splendid new litter and dog waste bins.  Funding for these, has been donated to the Borough of Poole by The Friends of Upton Country Park. This latest project, is another indication of the working partnership that ‘The Friends’ share with the Borough of Poole’s Leisure Services. During 2005, ‘The Friends’ donated in excess of £34,000 to projects within Upton House and Country Park including the provision of disabled toilet facilities and repairs to the domed lantern in The House.

As ‘The Friends’ commence their 30^th Anniversary Year, several fundraising events are being planned. In particular, it is intended to stage an exhibition later in the year to display information about the House and Park, from early days up to the present time. ‘The Friends’ are actively seeking photographs, articles, documents or artefacts that could be loaned for the exhibition.
