Drama Workshop 27th October, Mythical Cooking and Magical Story Telling 28th October, Mosaic Making 29th OctoberThis years half term activities at Poole Museums will be entertaining and educational, they will appeal to the younger visitors to our Museums.
On Tuesday 27th October, commencing at 10.00am, Sharon Muiruri from BCCA will run a "Ghost Drama Workshop" at Scaplen's Court Museum. The workshop will be for children in the age range 7 - 11 years. No doubt the closeness of Halloween will be reflected in the drama, as might be the Green Eyed Ghost of Scaplen's Court itself. The workshop will finish 3.00pm, Cost £8.00 per child.
On Wednesday 28th October, the Halloween Theme will continue at 10.00am for two hours. Naomi will prepare some Mythical Recipes whilst Michelle tells her Magical Tales. Mystics and Magic for Halloween in the kitchen of Scaplen's Court, one of the oldest buildings in the town. Suitable for those between 5 and 9 years, parents may stay with those under 7 if they wish. Cost per child £3.25.
On Thursday 29th October in the Waterfront Museum, Jean Feeney will run one of the popular Mosaic Workshops from 10.00am until Noon. Here children between the ages of 7 and 11 years will be able to create their own mosaics using materials supplied by the Museum, possibly with a Poole 750 theme. Cost per child £3.25
Also on Thursday 29th October, Scaplen's Court will be open to the public free between 10.00am and 5.00pm. This is a chance for visitors to view this magnificent buidling at a time of the year when it is used by the school children of the area.
