Are You A Responsible Driver

National Road Safety Week is an annual event being piloted for the first time in 1998, to raise awareness of the extent of death and injury on the roads and the suffering caused. The week takes place from 19 - 25 October.

The Road Safety Section of the Highways and Transportation Services at the Borough of Poole are holding a Safe Driving Awareness/Activity Day at Upton House, Upton Country Park, Poole on Monday, 19th October from 10am - 4.30pm.

Come along and meet your local Road Safety Education Officer and members of the Dorset Police Casualty Reduction Team, the Wessex Driver Instructors Association and the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

Lesley Hart, the Road Safety Education Officer for the Borough of Poole said:

‘Come along and find out what’s happening in your local school/community. Have a go at the computerised driving theory test or on the seatbelt sled. Find out about the latest pre driver training packages. Have a free assessment in your own car or Approved Driving Instructor’s car.’
