Beat the Christmas Car Park Queues!

Shamrock Buses are operating a Park and Ride Service for Christmas Shoppers

There is great news for shoppers this Christmas as the Borough of Poole will be repeating its successful Park and Ride service again this year.

Shamrock Buses will provide the service on each of the four Saturdays before Christmas -  2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd December. Their distinctive orange buses will leave the Creekmoor Park and Ride site every 15 minutes from 08:00 until 18:00. The Journey time is just ten minutes and shoppers will be conveniently dropped at the entrance to Falkland Square for direct access to the shops.

Even better news is that bargain fares are again available on the bus. Thanks to sponsorship from the Dolphin Shopping Centre link will open in new window the fare has been held to just £1.00 return and up to two accompanied children can also travel FREE. Don't forget that kids love a bus ride and the views of Holes Bay from the top of the double decker are great!

New this year is that holders of concessionary bus passes may also use the service for FREE.

Cllr Ron Parker, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for the Local Economy, Borough of Poole, said:
"After the success of last year's service we know that this is invaluable for shoppers. The excellent value fares and free travel for children are great incentives for shoppers and visitors to Poole which we hope people will make the most of."

When it's time to go home, buses return from the Falkland Square stop every 15 minutes from 08:15 with the last bus at 18:15, with plenty of space for all those shopping bags!
