AN APPEAL FOR HELP FROM POOLE MUSEUM IN CONNECTION WITH A FORTHCOMING EXHIBITION
Waterfront Museum is preparing an exciting exhibition entitled 'Write on' that will open in the Town Cellars on 27 March 1999. The exhibition will form the Museums contribution to The National Year Of Reading 1999. It is planned for the local shcools to make use of 'Write on' through the Literacy Hour in schools. It is about writing, how we do it, whey we do it, what we get from it and much more.
In thinking about what we get from reading the Museum is appealing for unwanted books as examples of writing that has given pleasure in the past. The Museum wishes to recyle unwanted books in order that visitors may experience books others have enjoyed and no longer wish to retain. The books can be about absolutely anything, from reference to fiction, for cildren or adults, hard or paperback.
Books may be taken to the Waterfront Museum, 4 High Street, Poole or left at Poole Central Library for transfer to the Museum.
