Latest survey P.O.P.S through residents' letterboxes

‘Do you want late night shopping on Thursdays?’, ‘Which crimes are the biggest problems for people in Poole?’ and ‘Do you think Poole should have a market?’ are just some of the questions 1600 Poole residents will be asked in the July 2003 Poole Opinion Panel Survey.

Councillor Neil Sorton, Resources Portfolio Holder, said: "The Poole Opinion Panel is an invaluable way to listen to the views of local people to ensure that we are providing the services they really want. Residents have told us that they want to be involved in shaping council services and these surveys give Poole people a say."

Heather Russ, Consultation Officer at the Borough of Poole, said: "The survey results will give an accurate reflection of what local people think about council services and will help us to monitor our services by highlighting where changes need to be made. Surveys like this are invaluable to ensure that we keep on top of providing quality services to local people."

Other topics in the survey include the internet, libraries, car parking, local elections, Poole’s Museums and adult learning courses.

The results will be available at the end of the summer but in the meantime, log onto boroughofpoole.com/opinions to view previous Poole Opinion Panel results and to find out more about consultation in the Borough of Poole.
