New Website www.poolehousingpartnership.org.uk Launches

Poole Housing Partnership are set to launch their new website: www.poolehousingpartnership.org.uk at noon on September 13 2004. The website has been set up to help Poole Housing Partnership deliver excellent housing services to the Council’s 5,200 tenants and leaseholders.

The new website will make Poole Housing Partnership’s services more available and accessible to the wider community. In particular, the site will help those people who may not be able to visit the Civic Centre in person to have their queries and issues dealt with.

Now Poole’s tenants and leaseholders can deal with most of their housing issues on-line, in the comfort of their own homes. The website enables users to:

• report repairs
• pay their rent securely, without leaving the house
• find out about sheltered housing
• contact Housing Officers
• get involved with resident participation
• find out if they are entitled to receive adaptations in their home
• learn more about Poole Housing Partnership
• find out more about the services on offer
• find out how Poole Housing Partnership is performing

The new website offers a wealth of information about the Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO), which was set up in April 2004 to manage, maintain and improve Council houses and estates for the Borough of Poole.  Chairman for Poole Housing Partnership’s Board of Directors, Bill Constance said, ”I am really pleased with this new website.  It shows how far we have already developed since going live in April of this year.  It will allow out customers to find out about our services and contact us 24 hours-a-day and 7 days-a-week.  Together with our improved telephone system, it enables residents to contact us easily and at their convenience”. 

The Council’s Housing Portfolio Holder, Cllr Bill Wretham, also commented on the new website, “I am delighted to see that this new port of information has been developed to provide an improved service to Poole’s residents, the website will make it easier for people to deal with their housing issues and communicate with Poole Housing Partnership ”.
