Poole’s first Childminders Conference is taking place on Saturday 5th March. This conference is free and open to all childminders in the area - that includes Poole, Bournemouth and Dorset. It is going to be a great event with.........

All about  Ros Bayley, our Keynote Speaker

Following an extensive career  as an early years teacher, Ros Bayley now works as an early years consultant, trainer and storyteller.  Throughout her career she has devoted much time to developing children’s creativity and imagination through story, puppetry,

music, dance and dramatic play, and has shared her strategies with practitioners both in the UK and abroad.  She also has a passionate interest in the  development of literacy skills and has written a wide range of resources for foundation stage practitioners.

Workshop 1                  Fun Fitness Activities

Childhood Obesity is a growing problem in the UK. Learn about how you can help and enjoy some fun activities which you can play with the children you ook after.

Workshop 2                  Interpreting Children’s Fiction Using Storytelling

Techniques

Enhance your story time by using simple storytelling techniques with plenty of practical suggestions, games  and examples.

Trainer:  Laura Cousins

 

Workshop 3                  Music for the Early Years

This practical workshop explores creative music making  in a non threatening way.  If offers the chance to develop confidence in leading musical activities and introduces useful ideas for games and starting points using instruments.

Trainer:  Teresa Willford

 

Workshop 4                  Promoting Diversity Through Craft & Play

Practical workshop with goodies to take             away.  Simple ideas to recreate.

Trainer:  DPCMA
