HALF TERM ACTIVITIES OCTOBER 1999

Poole Museum Service is planning activities for children during the autumn half term reflecting the theme of Halloween. Where better than Scaplen's Court, the old town house near the Quay for these activities to take place. The children will be involved in cooking and story telling, each with an eerie and spooky flavour.

On Tuesday 26 October starting at 10-30am, Naomi the Witch will be cooking and invites children between 5 and 9 years to join her over the cauldron. She plans to make masks out of pumkins, biscuits like bats and some very tricky treats.

On Thursday 28 October again starting at 10-30am, Witch O'Brien dares you to listen to her stories. Spooky stories told in old Mr Scaplen's house near the Quay. The stories are suitable for young witches and warlocks between 5 and 11 years of age.

Each session will last for two hours. Children are requested to come in costume as a prize will be given each morning for the best Halloween costume.

Cost per child is £2-50.
