PREVIEW OF NEW CHILDREN'S INFORMATION SERVICE

Families visiting the Dolphin Centre, Poole, will have a sneak preview of the Borough of Poole's latest service and a chance to enter a special competition supported by local businesses on Saturday 22nd October.

Poole's new Children's Information Service offers up to date childcare information and advice to parents, businesses and childcare providers for children aged 0-14.

Officially launched on 25 October, the service will provide reliable information on childminders, nursery, play groups and pre-schools in the Borough as well as details of out of school clubs, local toy libraries, parent and toddler groups, support groups, leisure and special need facilities.

The Children's Information Service stand will be based in the Dolphin Centre from 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, offering information to parents. Children visiting the stand will receive a sticker, balloon and an entry form for the Children's Information Service Competition.

To enter the competition, complete the entry form and tour the town to find the distinctive Children's Information Service train logo displayed in town centre shop and office windows.

Entries must be returned to the Children's Information Service, Westover House, West Quay Road, Poole, BH15 1JF by 1 November 1999. Each entry locating all the signs will be entered into prize draw. Prizes have been donated by shops and local businesses.

Cheryl Owen, Children's Information Officer, said: "We hope as many parents as possible take the chance to visit us and see what the Children's Information Service has to offer. The competition will be a great start to the half term holiday and will help keep the children occupied. It's also a chance to win one of the many prizes which have been donated by local shops and businesses".
