30 Nov 99LOCAL PEOPLE ASKED FOR VIEWS ON POOLE’S SOCIAL SERVICES
Local people from Canford Cliffs are being asked for their views at the next meeting of the Social Services Consultative Committee on Monday 6 December 1999.
In a series of informal meetings, local residents from across the Borough are being invited to meet Councillors and Officers to discuss a range of issues and help shape the future of Social Services in Poole.
Cllr Charles Meachin, Acting Chairman of the Social Services Consultative Committee, said: "By taking the meeting out into the community, we hope that as many people as possible will have a chance to come and find out more about the services on offer in their local area. The Consultative Committee is helping us shape our services to meet the community’s needs. Only by listening to local people in forums such as this can we ensure we are achieving the high standards of care that local people deserve".
The meeting will include a profile of the Canford Cliffs area, a talk on the Borough’s services for those with Learning Disabilities and a question and answer session with local Councillors and Officers from the Borough of Poole’s Social Services.
The meeting is open to any member of the public and will take place at 1.30pm in the Village Hall, Ravine Road, Canford Cliffs.
