12 Jan 00ON COURSE FOR THE MILLENNIUM
Poole resident, William Baxter, will be starting the new year learning about computers, after winning Poole Adult Education’s Year 2000 Competition.
Mr Baxter was one of nearly 400 Poole residents to enter a free prize draw to win the course of his choice. Residents entered by completing a questionnaire delivered with the Poole Adult Education New Year 2000 Programme, which asked for views on the service.
Cllr Annette Brooke, Chairman of Education Committee, said: "I am delighted at the response we have had from the questionnaires, and I hope Mr Baxter will enjoy his course. People are becoming more aware of the wide range of courses available through Poole Adult Education.
Poole Adult Education draw winner, Mr Baxter, said: "Poole Adult Education has given me the opportunity to learn more about computers and I am looking forward to dazzling my grandchildren with my new skills."
