Poole Tourism says It's Not Over Yet!

"Its not over yet" is the message from Poole Tourism link will open in new windowas the final Bank Holiday of the summer passes.

Although August Bank Holiday marks the end to summer holidays for more traditional resorts Poole Tourism is geared up for September to be just as busy as August. 'Summer Breeze' link will open in new window- fireworks; family fun and live music - returns on Thursdays to Poole Quay for the whole of September from its August home on Sandbanks Beach.

Graham Richardson, Poole Tourism Manager, said: "Summer Breeze is our flagship event and there is something very deliberate about the three month run finishing at the end of September way after many other summer programmes have concluded. A big priority for the Poole Tourism Partnership is extending the peak period of the year and we try to avoid even using the 'season' word."

With other major events up and coming in September including the Animal Windfest link will open in new window(15-18 Sept) and the last ever French Street Market on Poole Quay link will open in new windowon the same weekend, there is much for residents and visitors to look forward to.

Graham added: "Poole is fortunate that so many hotels have drifted to more up-market and contemporary brands - and it is that sector of the tourism industry that is showing most resilience to generally difficult conditions for the UK tourism industry. There is a very clear pattern emerging of people being prepared to pay for quality and that is working very much in Poole's favour."

September also sees the opening of the new Loch Fyne Restaurant and Milsoms Hotel in Canford Cliffs and together with the recently re-opened and extended Cafe Shore Restaurant the annual Sibbett Gregory Poole Tourism Awards are expected to have no shortage of nominations.
