Luxury super motoryacht takes in Poole on its five continent global voyage

The luxury super motoryacht MONTIGNE has taken time out on her second global voyage to visit Poole. After visiting the more traditional cruising ports of the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, and on route to Scandinavia and then the Far-East, the yacht's captain has bought the vessel into Poole Harbour and docked alongside the Town's bustling Quay. "There is so much happening in Poole at present, and so much talk around the world, that we wanted to witness it for ourselves. This is my first visit to the town and I am very impressed with the Harbour and the Quay - It will certainly be in our minds for future global tours" said captain Walker.

The MONTIGNE will be formally welcomed to Poole on Friday 7 June by Bruce Grant-Braham, Chairman of Poole Tourism Panel, when he offers a Poole Ensign Flag to Captain Walker to mark the visit. "It is great for Poole to host the MONTIGNE during her world tour and clearly shows that the town can compete on the global stage with the world's leading cruise ports. The Poole Tourism panel is very keen to promote waterborne tourism in the town and the arrival of the MONTIGNE clearly shows that the demand is there and that the town is well placed to take advantage of this potential".

The 152 foot MONTIGNE accommodates up to 10 guests in five luxurious staterooms. On-board accommodation includes formal dining, lavishly decorated living areas, full bar, third deck hot tub, exercise facilities, the latest in multi-media entertainment and spacious shore tenders and water sports equipment. Visitors on-board are also well looked after by a full compliment of experienced crew, including an internationally trained chef. From the finest china, crystal, heirloom art and brocade finishings to global communications linking, the vessel offers the elegance found in the world's exclusive resorts. Whilst the yacht is owned privately it is available for private charter - starting from US$120,000 per week.
