Mad Monday Funday At Alderney Rec

A free fun activity day is taking place at Alderney Recreation Ground on Monday 7 August from 1pm to 4pm.

Organised by the Borough of Poole's Leisure and Youth Services and partner organisations including Connexions link will open in new window and Poole's Children's Fund the Mad Monday Funday is aimed at encouraging young people to take part in constructive activities during the school break. It will also provide an opportunity for local people to try new things and gain information on other projects and activities in their area.

Among the many free activities organised there are: 
· Bouncy castles
· Obstacle course
· Sports tuition
· Face painting
· Make-and-take arts activities
· Games and activities with various wildlife organisations

There will also be information stands from the Borough of Poole, Connexions link will open in new window and Poole Children's Fund, providing details on opportunities and services in the area.

The day will be staffed by officers from the Borough of Poole's Youth Services and Leisure Services, in addition to representatives from other young people's groups in Poole.

Kate Mitchell, Ranger in the Leisure Services team at Borough of Poole said: "This event is designed to involve the local community in a whole host of fun activities and introduce young people to new opportunities in their area to help keep them amused during the summer holidays."
