New sponsor for Poole's French Street Market

For one weekend in 2004, Poole Quay plays host the French Street Market on 2nd and 3rd October. Previously a dedicated supporter of the event, The Thistle Hotel, Poole have extended their involvement by stepping up to become title sponsor of the 10th annual French Street Market.

Philip Barton, Manager at The Thistle Hotel Poole, said. "We are proud to be associated with this winning attraction. It has spanned a decade and each year draws thousands of visitors and residents alike."

Traditional French traders from Normandy and Brittany make the journey across the Channel bringing with them a wide variety of their finest French goods ranging from baguettes, cheeses and traditional sausages, to fine perfumes, kitchenware and jewellery.

The 2004 shopping spectacular looks forward to welcoming the return of the Dorset Farmers' Market, adding a local flavour and a variety of popular fayre. Stalls and traders stretch the length of Poole Quay overlooking the water's edge, The Thistle Hotel even bring their culinary offering outdoors throughout the weekend. An 'al fresco' area for market revellers will allow you to relax and enjoy a special dining experience whilst admiring the superb yachts berthed in the Quay.

Poole's French Street Market gives an opportunity to enjoy the summer mood into the beginning of October, proving that Poole really does have 'The Longest Summer'.
