The Packe Family Mausoleum will be opening its doors to the public this Tuesday 23 April 2002.

Built in 1867, the Mausoleum is the last remaining evidence that the Packe family owned most of what is now Branksome Park in the mid 19^th century.

This small, stone, chapel-like building was hidden behind trees and dense vegetation until a few years ago, when in 1993, the Borough of Poole took over the building and restored it to its current condition.

The Packe Mausoleum stands at the top of the road to Branksome Dene Chine car park, just to the rear of 25 Pinewood Road. There is no need to book, simply turn up at either 1.00pm, 1.45pm or 2.30pm.
