Poole Trampoline Team Aim High

Following their recent success at the British Trampoline Championships team members from Rossmore Leisure Centre's OLGA Trampoline Club have now been selected for International Honours at a number of forthcoming competitive events.

On the 23^rd August Danielle Pietruszka, Luke Rendell and former World Champion Katy Ianson will travel to Switzerland to represent Great Britain at the Nissen Cup.  They will be accompanied by the current Under 18 World Champion Tom Lewis who will travel as a reserve and Sharon Wood, who has been selected as coach to the team. 

Also on the 23^rd September Claire Wright, who won her sixth consecutive National Title as an Elite Lady and a World Cup event winner in 2005, will compete in the World Cup, also in Switzerland, on the same date.  Following that Claire will travel to the next World Cup competition in Germany with Nigel Rendell as coach.

On the 31^st September, Luke Rendell and Danielle Pietruszka will compete in the Great Britain versus Germany Youth International with Katy Ianson as reserve and Sharon Wood as coach.

The OLGA Trampoline team will also be competing in two Invitational Internationals in September which will give some of the gymnasts selected invaluable international experience ahead of their likely involvement in the World Championships in Canada in November 2007.

Rossmore Leisure Centre has been home to the OLGA trampolining team for the last 8 years and the training facility is funded through the joint partnership between the Borough of Poole and Sports & Leisure Management (SLM).
