Visitors to Poole’s Street Market on Thursday 19th August will be able to enjoy the High Street’s third instalment of Poole Town Centre’s summer entertainment programme, to celebrate the re-launch of the market after a 60-year break.
Between 11am and 4pm, shoppers will be entertained by solo singer and guitarist Frank E Finn who will perform a variety of swing and popular rock songs from artists such as Elvis and Dean Martin. A living statue of Winston Churchill will also be positioned in the High Street to surprise audiences with sudden movement. The living statue moves in ultra slow motion from one striking pose to another and will delight and astonish all ages.
Poole Town Centre Manager, Helen Crawford, says; “During the last couple of weeks shoppers to the Street Market have been entertained by a variety of musicians and entertainers. We have had an excellent response from the families who have attended the Street Market during our programme of entertainment and we hope visitors continue to enjoy our scheduled weekly activities until 2nd September.”
The Street Market is based in the mid-section of the High Street and trades every Thursday between 8.30am and 5pm.
