22 Feb 02Childcare Fair and Fun Day
An Early Years Fair and Fun day offering free childcare advice and career information will take place this Saturday 23 February in Poole Arts Centre.
The event will provide an opportunity for parents to gain first hand advice about childminders, day nurseries, pre-schools and out of school clubs. Those who are interested in working in childcare will be able to receive advice on training opportunities and job vacancies in the area.
Sue Willcocks, Early Years Development and Childcare Co-ordinator, said: "Poole’s Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership is committed to the development of high quality childcare provision and assisting with the recruitment and training of the current workforce. The fair will give people an insight into the fun and challenging world of a career in childcare and will provide an opportunity to find out exactly what is available for families working and living in Poole. There will also be plenty of activities to keep children entertained including bouncy castles, face painting, space hoppers and more."
Mayor of Poole, Cllr Ron Parker will be attending the event and will make an official presentation to the ‘Children Come first’ Childminding Network who are one of only forty childminding networks to be approved nationally.
The Early Years Fair will be open from 10.00am - 3.00pm in the Wessex Hall, Poole Arts Centre.
