Area is Ham-worthy of Christmas Tree

Hamworthy is to receive its very own Christmas tree courtesy of the Borough of Poole. The 25 foot pine tree has been provided byLeisure Services and will be sited outside Hamworthy Library. \n

Cllr Don Collier, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for the Environment, said: "Hamworthy is a vibrant area of Poole with an active local community. We hope that providing their first Christmas tree in this area will add to the excitement whilst they shop and prepare for their Christmas celebrations."

Everyone is welcome to come along at to Hamworthy Library at 5.00pm on Tuesday 23 November to enjoy the official switching on of the colourful lights by Hamworthy East Ward Councillors Mike White and Roger Gregory. Also, a choir from St Michaels Church will be singing seasonal songs and carols, making it a truly festive occasion!
