Refurbishment of Toilets at Alexandra Park

Public toilets at Alexandra Park, Alexandra Road in Parkstone will receive a much needed £37,000 face lift from 11 February so will be temporarily closed for public use.

During the temporary six week closure the toilets will benefit from being completely re-tiled with baby changing and disabled facilities to be installed making them more accessible to everyone. This will be the first major refurbishment of the pre-war built toilets which are in need of attention.

Cllr Bob Williams, Executive spokesperson for Environment and Prosperity, said: " We apologise for any inconvenience caused whilst the work is carried out. However, as the toilets are very well used by the public I’m sure they will see the benefit of this investment in public facilities which will make them more accessible to everybody and will benefit the thousands of park users."

The nearest alternative toilets available are on Poole Road, Branksome near Courts furniture store or Jubilee Road behind the Co-op.
