Poole Recycling Banks to Get Facelift

Recycling sites in Poole will soon be receiving a facelift to encourage residents to recycle their waste.

Last year 21,000 tonnes of waste including plastics, paper, cans and glass was recycled, processed and reused for new products.

Louise Lowans, Borough of Poole Recycling Officer said: " We hope that by giving our recycling sites a facelift it will encourage residents to use them for their household waste. Recycling is one of the most effective ways we can contribute to both energy saving and helping the environment and we hope that more residents make use of the 67 sites within the borough."

The 24 main recycling sites including can, glass and plastic banks will be repaired, serviced and repainted with mini banks receiving improvements later in the year.

Work will start on 4 February where each site will be closed for approximately one day.
