Housing Management Services welcomes Dorothy Allen who started at Tenant Participation Officer on 14th January 2002.  She joins us from Purbeck District Council where she has worked as a Housing Officer for 7 years.

 

She is originally from Rotterdam in Holland and came over to Britain 20 years ago to improve her English.  She met her future husband and the rest is history.

 

Dorothy has been involved in Tenant Participation at Purbeck DC and has the Chartered Institute of Housing qualification in Tenant Participation.

 

There are a number of short term targets for Dorothy including redrafting the Tenants Compact, facilitate the Tenants Forum, co-ordinating At Home and managing the Priority Estates Project to set up a neighbourhood agreement in Wallisdown with Section 16 funding.

 

Throughout the year she will be working to increase involvement by all types of residents particularly in the sheltered schemes which are currently under represented.

 

Dorothy will be working with all sections of Housing Management Services to ensure that tenant participation is included in all major projects, whether informing tenants, celebrating successes, feedback and consulting tenants.
