Fun For All At Turlin Moor

On Wednesday 9th August Turlin Moor Recreation Ground will be having its first ever Fun Day.

This exciting event is a chance for local children and families to take part in a range of free activities including sports coaching, a climbing wall, face painting, badge making, a jester and story-telling sessions.

Taking place on the recreation ground the Fun Day has been organised by various service units at the Borough of Poole including Leisure Services, Youth Services, Environmental and Consumer Protection and Housing and Community Services.

The event has also been supported by other organisations including the Dorset Wildlife Trust link will open in new window, the Urban Heaths Project, Dorset Police link will open in new windowand Dorset Fire and Rescue Service link will open in new windowwho will also be attending and running activities on the day.

The activities start at 11am and finish at 4pm and people are invited to simply turn up on the day and enjoy what is on offer.

Councillor Don Colllier, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for the Environment said: “This exciting fun day is a great example of the whole community getting involved to give local people an enjoyable day out.  Hopefully this will be the first of many similar events in the area. “
