The countdown has begun to late night Christmas shopping in Poole, with selected retailers throughout the High street and Old Town staying open until 8pm, and the Dolphin Shopping Centre until 9pm every Thursday evening from 18 November until 23 December. There is also an additional last minute shopping night on Wednesday 22 December. Shoppers can enjoy free parking in the town centre car parks on Sundays after 10.30am and Thursdays after 6pm in the lead up to Christmas, starting on Sunday 21 November.

Plans for the festive celebrations in Poole town centre are now well underway. Father Christmas will be officially arriving in Poole on Sunday 21 November. Street entertainers and the Dorchester Band will be kick-starting the fun on the Quay at 10.30am, before Santa's arrival by lifeboat at 11am, followed by a procession that he will lead through the town to the Dolphin Shopping Centre.

Helen Crawford, Poole's Town Centre Manager says, "Christmas is even easier in Poole this year, and the late night shopping and free parking will be a major draw for shoppers in the area. The arrival of Santa, the lantern procession, and major light switch on taking place later in the month are part of an exciting and busy schedule of festive events in Poole. "
