Help is now at hand for those who wish to become a childminder due to a new start up grant available for people in Poole.

Poole Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership is offering grants of up to £300 to assist newly registered childminders within the Borough of Poole with an increased grant of up to £600 for those living in Alderney or Hamworthy.

Di Burt, Poole’s Early Years Team Support, Training and Development Manager said: "The Government is committed to making good quality childcare more accessible to parents and carers to enable them to return to work or attend training courses. This grant provides an excellent opportunity to help with a variety of start-up costs including the purchase of toys and equipment, insurance cover, registration fees, training courses and safety equipment."
