24 Jun 04Striving for Excellence Message to Every Poole Home
A new direction for the way the Borough of Poole works is unveiled in the latest edition of Poole News.
The summer edition of the Council’s newspaper will lead on the new mission, Striving for Excellence, and will outline new priorities and major projects which will help to shape the development of Council services over the next three years.
Cllr Brian Leverett, Leader of the Council, said: “We want residents to know that we have been listening to their views and our new priorities reflect what we’ve heard. As Poole News is distributed to every household, it makes sense to launch our corporate strategy, ‘Striving for Excellence’ on the front page.”
Readers can also find out about new ways they can recycle at home and keep up-to-date with the latest regeneration developments.
Amateur photographers are encouraged to be ‘snap happy’ in Poole this summer, with the chance of winning a fabulous £1000 first prize for the best image depicting ‘Poole, It’s Happening Now!’
Speedway fans won’t want to miss this edition! Two pairs of tickets for the Speedway World Cup in August are up for grabs.
