Statement Regarding Broadstone Middle School

“The governing body of Broadstone Middle School has considered all the comments recently received from parents/carers and pupils on their proposal to implement a trousers only policy with effect from January 2006.

“In the light of the views received it was agreed to undertake fuller consultation with all current and new parents/carers that would have children joining the school in September.  The governing body will be publishing a consultation document with options to all parents very shortly and will be inviting comments by 19 September 2005.  In the meantime the current dress code will apply.

“The governing body will meet again on 28 September 2005 to consider the responses and make their final decision on the new school dress code which they plan to implement during 2006.”
