23 Aug 01Poole News Coming to Town's Homes
A special edition of Poole News, published by the Borough of Poole, will be delivered to homes throughout the area on Thursday 30 August.
The special edition will focus on the current situation for proposals surrounding the new Poole Bridge and regeneration of the Town Centre and Hamworthy. Readers can find out how plans are developing which will open up many disused sites around the Town Centre and create open spaces and pedestrian access to waterfront areas. The decision on Government funding to support the bridge and road improvements will be announced in December.
The newspaper is part of the Borough of Poole’s continuous commitment towards keeping residents informed about what is happening in their town.
Councillor Bob Williams, Deputy Leader of the Council said "We feel this is an important stage in the progress of Poole’s new bridge to inform residents of the latest development proposals. Poole News provides us with the best opportunity to reach the vast majority of local people."
Poole residents who do not receive their copy of Poole News should contact the Council on (01202) 633060.
