GCSE Results Announced

Poole pupils will be busy planning their future education, training or employment following the publication of GCSE results across the country on August 23.

Cllr Brian Clements, Leader of the Council, said: "Congratulations to all the students in Poole receiving their results today – I hope that their full potential is realised in these results. Students in Poole schools are very successful in their GCSEs, and in previous years the Borough has been one of the higher performing areas of the country. I have no doubt that the comparison will prove to be as good this year."

"Students have to work extremely hard with teachers and the support of parents to achieve high results in GCSE but their efforts are well worthwhile as a basis for their future education and careers. They will now get busy deciding on their choices of future education, training or employment."

Jeff Hart, Chief Advisor to the Borough of Poole, said: "GCSEs are the end result of hard work throughout the school system. They are one good measure of a school’s success but we must remember also the high achievements taking place in other areas of school life."
