Poole Shares Secret of Sound Financial Planning

The Borough of Poole hosted a visit with civic leaders from Monmouthshire County Council keen to find out more about Poole's highly acclaimed financial strategy.

A party of four members and officers travelled down from the Welsh authority to Poole where they met with senior managers, finance leaders and members for a series of presentations and discussions.

Among the issues discussed was the Borough of Poole's Corporate Strategy, Striving for Excellence and the strategic budget.

Council leader Councillor Brian Leverett, Borough of Poole, said: "Poole is recognised as having done an excellent job in terms of its financial strategy and we are delighted our counterparts in Monmouthshire have come down to learn from us. We are leaders in this field in Poole who have achieved a great deal in financial planning and we feel very pleased this is recognised by our colleagues in other authorities."
