The most frequently asked question in Poole, "Who is Jules Jolliffe?" was answered at a public meeting of Full Council, on Tuesday 26 June.

Poole's Councillors decided to adopt a Leader with Cabinet (Option 2) to run the Council in future.

The chosen option received the highest number of responses from local people in Poole's postal survey of residents on the electoral role.

The Council received over 28,000 responses (26.4%) from Poole residents which, to date, is the highest known response in the country.

A special Judgement Board, appointed from amongst members of the local community also recommended the Council adopt the Leader with Cabinet option.

The Council will inform the Department of Transport, Local Government and the Regions who must approve the decision before the new structure is implemented. The new structure will be in place by May 2002.
