Karen Legg, World Championship Gold Medallist Swimmer from Poole, has officially relaunched Poole Council’s website boroughofpoole.com.

The site went live on 19 May 2003 and has been restructured to help residents find information on Council Services more efficiently and accurately than ever before

Karen is helping to promote the site by using a boroughofpoole.com Smart car at weekends to get to swimming events around the country.

Karen said: "I’m delighted to be working with Poole and spreading the word about the benefits that the Council’s website can bring to local residents. boroughofpoole.com is a wealth of useful information and is continually improving. The more people know about the changes the better for everyone.’

Councillor Neil Sorton, Resources Portfolio Holder, said: "The site provides access to information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With over 700 pages of information there are now over 1,200 ways you can find the information you need. The site includes a brand-new A-Z as well as information on services, Council meetings, events and much more. With the restructure now in place the site can grow effectively as more residents want to access our information electronically. Look out for more additions to the site as they develop."
