Sandbanks will be burning rubber!

This week Mountain Bike UK will be riding into Sandbanks, jumping over Mitsubishis and bunny hopping amongst other things. The Fire Brigade will also be paying a visit and showing people how to cope with a domestic fire. The Thistle Hotel providing the drink and Panhelini Do Samba providing the music.

    Tuesdays on Poole Quay – CASTROL DREAM MACHINES

After another packed Quay last week Dream Machine’s continues to be a popular night with bikers from across the country bringing a variety of models to Poole. To secure access a season ticket can be purchased for £5. Alternatively entry can be paid for on the night for £1.

    Wednesdays at Poole Stadium - POOLE SPEEDWAY

This week the Pirates will be up against the Eastbourne Eagles - a very strong team currently at the top of the Sky Sports Elite League Table by six points. However, the Pirates proved themselves last week and are set to prove themselves again in order to get a place in the end of season play off. The tapes rise at 7:30pm

    Alternate Thursdays with a spectacular fireworks finale at 10pm

!!! THIS WEEK !!! Sands on the beach - The Animal Mountain Bike UK (MBUK) Mountain Bike Show Team will be appearing at Sandbanks. Last year’s British Trial Champion, Martyn Ashton will be performing his amazing bike skills.

Steve Geall, King of Dirt 2001 will be showing why he is the best aerial rider in the business when he jumps over a Mitsubishi Animal Truck! In a grand finale the two riders will have a bunny hop high jump competition where Steve Geall will try to win back the British Record of 42 inches.

The Royal Marines will be showcasing a static display of craft and the 2CR FM Black Thunder crew will also be present. La Plaza and La Brasserie will be cooking the barbecued food and the fireworks finale begins at 10pm.

Next week : Oysters live on the Quay! - have fun with some live music and entertainment throughout the evening with a fireworks finale.

    Fridays - QUAY FOR MY CAR with the Daily Echo

Beetle Mania is back at the Quay providing plenty in the way of variety of VW Beetles - new and old and with the sun shining it should be as successful as the two previous Beetle evenings. The roads are close for the event between 6-10pm.
