Education experts from across Poole and Bournemouth will be discussing the future of education for 14 to 19-year-olds at a special conference on Friday, March 9.
The 14 to 19 Conference for Poole and Bournemouth Headteachers is being held at Hamworthy Recreation Centre, Canford Magna, between 9am and 4.15pm.
Headteachers, local authority advisers, school governors and councillors and a range of partners engaged in the education and training of 14 to 19 learners in Poole and Bournemouth will be taking part in the conference.
The conference will provide a local and national overview of the provision of education for this age group.
It will also feature a presentation on the Government’s Building Schools for the Future
(BSF) project - a rolling national programme to rebuild and invest in every secondary school in England over 15 years.
Poole has been successful in a joint bid in partnership with Bournemouth to fund projects at seven schools across the two boroughs. Borough of Poole can now start fully planning the refurbishment of three schools – Ashdown Technology College
, Rossmore Community College
and Winchelsea School
