The steel green and white rebound wall replaces an old muddy patch of worn grass between Rossmore Road and Herbert Avenue and the tarmac surface means the facility can be enjoyed in almost any weather.

The surface has five-a-side and basketball markings on it as well as a cricket wicket and new benches.

Borough of Poole's Leisure Services commissioned the new facility using funds from local development contributions and money left over from the sale of Trinidad First School, which previously paid for tarmac footpaths and new lighting in the area.

Contractors CJ Lee installed the wall after Beat Officer, Peter Raymond, identified the needs of local youngsters and Borough of Poole carried out consultation with neighbouring properties.
